This has been quite a few days. Beginning with the shooting of Christina Grimmie, followed by the attack at Pulse nightclub and ending with the death of a 2 year old boy in Disney World when he was dragged into the water by an alligator. Other than being extremely tragic events I have tried to see what the take away here is. There is a great deal of finger pointing going on. Gun control, terrorist lists, beware of alligator signs and these are all valid but for me there is a greater message here. That we just never know what may happen in the next moment. At a concert, at a nightclub, at a world famous amusement park lives were cut short. No warning…one minute the loved one was there the next minute gone. I think I am going to stay away from the blaming and finger pointing and instead be reminded that you never know from one moment to the next how drastically your life can change. How often we waste our precious time together by being too busy, too angry or too complacent believing that what we don’t do today we can do tomorrow. I invite you to think about this and remember that the only thing we can count on is the now. Embrace each and every moment with love and joy.
