“Be impeccable with your words.” Don Miguel Ruiz
This is one of the Four Agreements from the book of the same name by Don Miguel Ruiz. Simply put it means that everything we say carries energy and do we want our words to convey negativity or positivity? Gossip, talking about someone behind their back or little white lies all use our speech in counterproductive ways. I recently read an article by Sally Robbins where she challenged the reader for one day to say nothing that is unkind, untrue, or unnecessary. I invite you to take this challenge today along with me and remember it applies to self-talk as well. Let today be the beginning of cleaning up our talk energy.
