Patience

“Adopt the pace of nature, her secret is patience.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

I know patience is a virtue and unfortunately not one of the things I am good at.  I tend to be more of an instant gratification kind of girl but I have learned that things don’t always work that way.  I remember the one year I planted daffodil bulbs in the fall imaging their splendor the following spring.  I gave it little thought once the bulbs were planted.  I had faith that Mother Nature would take care of it and was not impatient expecting the flowers to bloom any sooner than they were supposed to.  It was a good lesson for me.  I realized that I could plant seeds, let them go and trust that nature would take its course.  That spring I was rewarded with a yellow field of delights when my daffodils bloomed and when I tend towards my impatient ways I remember those flowers and know that everything happens when the timing is right.
